Dr Antoinette Gmeiner - Group HR Director

Dr Antoinette Gmeiner completed her Doctorate in Nursing Science in 1993 at RAU. She is a Master Executive Coach and has extensive coaching experience on executive committee and board level. She has been coaching for more than 14 years and has established an internal coaching programme for the Orion Group, coaching 21 teams monthly. She specialises in team coaching and has been coaching internal and external teams in organisations for more than 26 years.


Mr Franz Gmeiner – Group CEO and MD

Mr Franz Gmeiner attained his BCom Accounting (Hons) and qualified as one of the top ten students in the Chartered Accountants examination in 1983. During his accountancy career he became a partner in Cohen and Gmeiner Accountants, which he led to become one of the largest auditing firms in South Africa. Hoe founded a property company in 1991, which has grown into the current Orion Real Estate Limited, listed on the JSE Limited. During 1999 he took over the hotel operations of the Hotel Devonshire and since then the Orion Hotels division has built up a portfolio of 13 hotels. he is a member of several clubs and organisations and holds numerous directorships and trusteeships.


Mr Mark Roussos - Group Development Director

Utilising his thirty years of experience in the Leisure Industry, Mark Roussos has been providing successful Operational, Development and Acquisition consultancy services to corporate and individual owners. He is experienced in converting every opportunity into success and driving profit and growth, both in city and remote areas.


Dr Sandra Perkins - Joint CEO

Dr Sandra Perkins completed her PHD in Psychiatric Nursing in 1996. She thereafter completed her diploma in Labour Relations in 2003 and her Masters in Labour law and employee relationship management in 2005. Dr Perkins is currently the joint CEO of Orion Business Solutions and Bakwena Day Spa. Orion Business solutions focuses on individual and executive coaching as well as coaching training for Line Managers and Professionals. The business and life skills coaching course is aligned to the International coaching federation. Bakwena Day Spa has grown from strength with the first branch opened in Gauteng, they now have branches in Limpopo and Eastern Cape.
